Our News

«What is this thing?» and «gimme two!» - it's all about the sachet. This cute little invention is more than one century old.

A sachet is a mix of aromatic substances, as well as crushed fragrant plants, most often packaged in small bags, which were placed in rooms and cabinets to scent space, linen, clothes. Cloth pouches are the most common, but sachets could be made from a variety of materials, from leather to seashells. And using beeswax to create sachets has proven to be one of the most convenient ways to preserve fragrances. The honey smell of wax blends wonderfully with the aromas of herbs and essential oils. You can create an endless number of compositions to fill your space with the feeling of summer, flowering herbs, citrus, pine needles and your very favorite scents.

How to use?

In the form of a small wax tile, it is convenient to place the sachet in the closet, hanging it by ribbons, put it in chest of drawers, to scent linen, you can hang it on the head of the bed, and tiles with soothing essential oils will help you relax and fall asleep, they are used for home decor and even as a Christmas tree decoration! Such versatility makes this little thing a great gift for any occasion.

The composition of the wax sachet:

  • Natural beeswax (sachet base, retains aromas well without losing its delicate honey flavor among others, keeps well)
  • Soy, coconut and other waxes (used as a base instead of beeswax if you want to create sachets without honey flavors)
  • Essential oils (allow you to collect any composition with certain beneficial properties)
  • Dried flowers and spices (create a certain aroma and serve to decorate the sachet)

Storage: In a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees, avoid exposure to sunlight to avoid excessive heating. The sachet should not be frozen, because at low temperatures the wax becomes brittle and begins to crumble.

Why is a wax sachet often referred to as «Florentine»?

History takes us to the heart of picturesque Italy - Florence. It is there that since 1612 and to this day one of the oldest botanical pharmacies in the world, Santa Maria Novella (Pharmaceutical di Santa Maria Novella), has been operating. The pharmacy produces various products, including perfumes and sachets according to old recipes. Of course, sachets were used not only in Italy, but a recipe for aromatic sachets for the home was developed there, which do not leave customers indifferent to this day.
